Health Minister Robin Swann and Communities Minister Deirdre Hargey have welcomed the excellent response to a new volunteer-led scheme delivering medicines to patients.
The scheme is being coordinated by Community Development and Health Network to deliver medication during the Covid-19 pandemic.

We are delighted to announce the successful applicants under the Elevate Mentoring & Grants Programme. This programme offers a range of training, networking and support opportunities as well as a grant of £5,000 so the successful groups can bring their ideas to life, focusing on using community development approaches to reduce health inequalities at a local level.
At the heart of Toome village, a small rural village in the north-west corner of Lough Neagh, lies Gribbin’s Pharmacy. This independent pharmacy has a special interest in health promotion and has engaged with Community Development & Health Network (CDHN) through its Building Community-Pharmacy Partnership (BCPP) Programme for many, many years.
“With the Elevate programme running now for just under six months, there has already been much learning and much to juggle! Progress has, however, been continuous in bringing forward the four elements of Elevate – the Portal, the Capacity Building Training Programme, the Mentoring & Grants Programme and the Community Development Outcomes Framework.
