To whom it may concern,

I am delighted to provide a testimonial for Pathways for Health.

I have been involved with this organisation for several years now, providing input to their training programme.  I have been consistently impressed by the professionalism, dedication, enthusiasm and energy of the team.  They do work of a consistently high standard and the training provided is of extraordinary value to the participants in the programmes.  The team bring a level of excellence to the community development approach which I have seldom seen bettered.

I would like to indicate my wholehearted and unequivocal support for their efforts to obtain future funding.

Yours faithfully

Professor Mike Kelly PhD, FFPH, Hon FRCP, FRCP Edinburgh

Director of the Centre for Public Health, NICE and Institute of Public Health, University of Cambridge.

Community Health Champions

I recently completed Community Health Champions Training with the CDHN. I believe this training is not only a valuable educational tool but a necessity for any political representative. The training provided me with the capacity to address a wide spectrum of needs, develop solutions, empower the community and essentially improve health and wellbeing in my local constituency.
This training not only addressed my responsibilities and opportunities as a political representative, but as a young person, a woman and a mother. Rather than base decisions on social norms it has allowed to expand my knowledge and fully understand the wider spectrum of issues that affect health. This has enabled me to approach situations in a different manor and has resulted in great community feedback“.

Brilliant, learned a lot about myself and community.   Also how I can move forward and help”.

Very enjoyable I was a bit apprehensive about going but was made very welcome, would definitely recommend the training to others.

Group Work Skills

I thoroughly enjoyed today. I participated and learnt.  I enjoyed the group work exercises.  Excellent delivery”.

“Better ways to engage people in group settings and group work. Learnt that everybody felt the same at the start of the session. I understand the qualities necessary for group work and how to apply them. Feel a bit more confident in leading a session within our projects. How to deal with challenging behaviour”.

Excellent morning – well delivered.  Provided a good opportunity and information on the process

“Very worthwhile and interesting workshop, good to hear practical examples of co-production.

Good presentation on conceptual framework of co-production and the practicality issues involved”.

“Very informative and engaging”.
