Group Work Skills Training - 18th October 2017

Building the Community-Pharmacy Partnership (BCPP) is providing pharmacists and community groups involved in BCPP projects with a training opportunity to improve skills and confidence when working with groups.

We know how challenging it can be to stand in front of a group of people to talk and facilitate discussions on a wide range of health issues.  This training will enable you to deliver more interactive sessions, encouraging an approach that will enable people to take on board and utilise the information for the benefit of themselves and others.

Other benefits of the training include:

  • Taking the pressure off you having to speak for a couple of hours
  • Ensuring you take into account the specific needs of the group
  • Helping get groups to work together for both their benefit and your own

The training will take place on:

Date: Wednesday 18th October 2017

Time: 9.30am – 4.30pm

Venue: NICVA, Duncairn Gardens, Belfast

Cost: Free

This will be a very practical and enjoyable experience and pharmacists attending should be able to capture the learning as Continuing Professional Development.

If you wish to attend, contact me as soon as possible at   We advise you to book early as places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

If you have attended Group Work Skills training before you do not need to attend again.

Please note that preference will be given to those currently involved in a BCPP project.

Some of the comments from previous Group Work Skills training included:
